A remake of the Tamil language film Natpe Thunai (2019), A1 Express stands tall with massive captivating performances from the cast. For one, we have Murli Sharma, a former soldier whose dedication to hockey is almost famous.
Priyadarshi and Rao Ramesh then save the whole parts. Sandeep Kishan stole the show in the emotional scenes as Sanju, and his poor performance came to the fore in the all-decisive hockey match in the second half. Lavanya Tripathi, who plays the talented hockey star, isn’t a run-down “heroine,” an excellent choice for the role. Maybe this is one of his best performances.
Sanju (Sandeep Kishan) falls in love with Yanam's hockey player (Lavanya Tripathi). At the same time, the Minister (Rao Ramesh) plans to encroach on the place where Love Hockey is played. Performance:
Compared to his previous films, Sandeep Kishan has definitely got a challenging role in this film and every frame will show the hard work and effort put in by Sandeep Kishan for this film. Especially the way he has acted in emotional scenes is very good. Lavanya Tripathi's acting is amazing and the way she blended into the character is admirable. Rao Ramesh has acted naturally in the film. Murali Sharma easily got into the character and did his best.
As a film blended with cynical politics, greedy corporatism, and compromised sports personalities, A1 Express should have stayed away from low-end ideas like racist jokes and the routine of persecution.
After a point, you want to shout, "Please don't have more rom-com scenes!". Satya, Mahesh Vitta and Posani Krishna Murali are the typical cardboard figures. Overall, the film’s trajectory is too familiar.
On the right side, director Dennis Jeevan lets different characters dominate the narrative here and there by boldly letting the male protagonist stay away from the frames.
Technical matters:
Dennis Jeevan Kanukolanu The whole credit for this story must be handled and carried out properly. The way he handled the storyline is fascinating. The pace of his narration is also really impressive and will definitely impress the audience. The production values of Dream Warrior Pictures and Vivekananda Films are excellent and it is clear that the producers have invested a good amount for the film. Hiphop Tamizha's music is beautiful. He has created some catchy tunes for the film and also some catchy background music for the film. Kevin Raj's camera angles are very good. Chhota K. Prasad's editing is clean.
Decision:
On paper, there is a simple story of the A1 Express. But the hockey angle makes the film interesting. While watching the film, we feel that the team should focus more on hockey scenes than romantic scenes. Despite the imbalance between the two sections, the A1 Express turned out to be a good trip. The main cast of the film is Sandeep Kishan, Rao Ramesh and Lavanya Tripathi. The rest of the main cast also performed well in their own way.In the latter case, when things seem to go their way, the director compensates for it with a catchy climax. Some comedy scenes will also appeal to the audience. Overall, the A1 Express is a good watch this weekend, although it has some drawbacks.
